Nestled amongst the greenery above the turquoise waters of the Caribbean sits the beautiful cottage aptly named Beside The Pointe. The quietness is deafening, the ocean view in front of you is pure ecstasy, and the sunset embraces you as it disappears into the water.
Between Palmetto Point and Savannah Sound, a mile off the main highway thru a greenery-lined track road sits your tranquil paradise, a perfect hideaway for honeymooners.
A private beach and the Caribbean sea are right below you down a flight of steps.
The owners live next door if you need them, but you won't see them if you don't want to.
Food stores and restaurants are a few miles away, close, yet far enough away from your quietness.
Ten Bay Beach, a beautiful mile-long pristine beach, is just a mile away.
Governors Harbour, the main town on the island, is just 15 minutes by car from the property. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won’t want to miss it.

We have 4 sets of snorkel gear in a variety of sizes, an assortment of hand fishing lines with gear, 2 single kayaks, beach chairs, beach umbrella, a cooler, outdoor shower and a gas grill. There's also a stackable washer and dryer. We just installed a brand new generator to keep the house running and our guests comfortable during power outages. There is a back-up water supply as well.
For stays longer than 10 nights you get 1 free weekly cleaning.

This place is simply wonderful, fantastic location, clean, in good condition and has everything you need and more from a holiday rental. Keith and Sharon (the owners) are lovely and very helpful. There are kayaks and snorkling gear provided and there is a private beach. The property is within 10 mins drive of shops and places to eat.

We were searching for a private getaway, and this house was perfect. I was concerned about the owners being right next door; however, Sharon and Keith were terrific hosts and made us feel completely at home. They were there to assist with questions and valuable tips; otherwise, we never saw them. Sharon's mangoes are delicious!

This property is incredible. When we were researching a place to stay on Eleuthera, we came across Beside the Pointe. The good reviews and pictures sold us and we booked our stay. However, we were not prepared for the view as we drove our vehicle to top of the drive beside the cottage. It is INCREDIBLE! Pictures do not capture the beauty at Beside the Pointe. Keith & Sharon have done an incredible job with their property. Every day held a different sky, different waters & a different sunset. There is so much beauty to behold in their cove. We really enjoyed the kayaks and our favorite time of the day on the water was early morning. It was crystal clear and still. Felt as if we were paddling on glass. The location of the cottage was a perfect jumping off point to explore both ends of the island. It also had everything we needed to enjoy a 3 wk stay and was spotless when we arrived. Keith & Sharon were so kind and knowledgeable about the island and always willing to help with anything we might need. Top notch folks. I would stay here time & time again.

It was a perfect cottage our only issue is that the listing did not really express that the owners are right next door. So not quite as private as we like. In saying that, they were a wonderful couple and certainly respected our privacy. We hope we have made friends for life with them. So the only reason we won’t rent again is our desire for seclusion and prefer beach on Atlantic coast.
