Getting to Eleuthera

Located 200 miles southeast of Miami and 50 miles east of Nassau, there are two airports to choose from.  Governors Harbour airport, GHB, which has only a few flights a day and no jet flights, is less than 15 minutes from the property.  The much busier North Eleuthera airport, ELH, is an hour away.  However, the drive from North Eleuthera is pleasant and scenic, with interesting stops to make along the way, so don’t let that deter you if you get a better flight that way. 

From Atlanta, Delta Airlines offers non-stop jet service to North Eleuthera (ELH) every day.  (During the late summer and fall off-season, this flight flies less often or not at all.) 

From Miami, American Airlines offers non-stop jet service to North Eleuthera (ELH) every day.  (During the late summer and fall off-season, this flight flies less often or not at all.) 

Starting Feb. 3, 2024, American will also fly non-stop from Miami to Governors Harbour (GHB), the close airport, every Tuesday and Saturday. (During the late summer and fall off-season, they may pause this flight.)

From Charlotte, American offers non-stop jet service to North Eleuthera (ELH) every day.  (During the late summer and fall off-season, this flight flies less often or not at all.)

From Fort Lauderdale, Silver Airways (a United sub-contractor) has non-stop flights to North Eleluthera every day.  Silver will sometimes have flights to Governors Harbour (GHB) as well.

Also from Fort Lauderdale, Aztec Airways, https://www.aztecairways.com/, has flights from Fort Lauderdale Executive terminal to both Governors Harbour and North Eleuthera every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.  Flights cost $330 each way.  Aztec is extremely reliable, they take you right into Governors Harbour, and because they fly out of the executive terminal, there is no TSA, no lines, etc. 

From Orlando, Silver Airways has non-stop flights to North Eleuthera several times a week. (During the late summer and fall off-season, this flight flies less often.) 

From Nassau, it’s just 20 minutes to Eleuthera, so this can be a good route if you have a non-stop flight to Nassau.  Southern Air, Pineapple Air, and Bahamas Air all fly from Nassau to Eleuthera multiple times a day, including flights to Governors Harbour at 8 a.m., 12 noon, 3:30, and 4 p.m.  IMPORTANT:  These flights between Nassau and Eleuthera do not appear on websites such as Expedia, so you won’t find them in typical flight searches.  You can view (and book) available flights on the airlines’ websites:  www.pineappleair.com www.southernaircharter.com and www.bahamasair.com.  Just make sure to get to Nassau no later than 2:30 p.m., and you’ll be in time to catch the last flight out.  An important tip to breeze through customs in Nassau:  There is a separate line if you are going on to Eleuthera, and there is never anyone in that line.  To use that line, follow the signs for “Family Island Intransit” and “Family Island Connections”.  Flights between Nassau and Governors Harbour cost about $100 each way.
